Hello Again

Greetings friends !!!!!!!
Craig Paddock
age-28
born in New Orleans
currently living in Los Angeles....

Hello fellow bloggerite.
I'm writing a record which will be recorded out here in the wild west.

Sooooooooooo, I must start by saying that I am stoked (california word) to catch up with so many of you. Craig 2.0 has been launched, and he is eager to connect. I will do my best to report what is happening out here in Los Angeles and what brought me, my wife, my guitar, and now pupson, 'Otis Redding Paddock' out here in the first place.  But first, a little tidbit in regards to what I've been up to the past 3 years.
I had the great pleasure of creating my first studio album with my close friend and former 'Ellipsis' band mate, Eric Heigle. This was released in the winter of 2010. The release date of my album, 'Merci' occurred three years after the Ellipsis crew put things to rest. Perhaps I have a habit of doing things every other three years.

In this blog, I'd like to do my best to describe who I am and who I've become over the course of my musical career. 'Merci' was my first stab at writing an album on my own. There were close to 40 songs I wrote in preparation for the recording. In the end, we only chose 7 to record. We released 6 songs total for the e.p. Something important to note: 'WE' means that I never could have made this record without some very important people. Just to name a few...Eric Heigle-Producer, Ben Lorio-mixing, Thomas Favret-guitars, Phil Breen-Keys, Mike Burch-drums, Scott Jackson -bass....
The list could truly go on and on.

Well, as it appears I've gone done one rabbit hole to another, I'll simply end this blog by saying that I have a lot to say and little time. I look forward to writing again.

God Speed and save the queen,

Craig Paddock

New Song Lyrics..."Make Way for Me"

"make way for me"

My heart leapt off the ground
as the eyes of my soul found
the same man who died on the cross
had been with me all along.

'Make way for me. I'm coming home this eve. Go prepare the banquet feast, Make way for me.
Go and tell my kin, that He forgave me my sin, as I bathed in the Jordan. Make way for me'

Melt this heart of stone, and wake these weary bones
and let us dance once again a rhythm between two friends

'Make way for me, I've been drifting out at sea, where no one can ever leave, Make way for me.
Go tell my king that the shore's within my reach. I can hear the waves crashing, Make way for me'
